The Professional Engineer position requires an individual who is highly motivated, organized, and possesses excellent teamwork skills and has a keen attention to detail. The ideal candidate should have a good knowledge of TxDOT's compliance and ethics requirements. They must also be flexible and adaptable in dealing with projects and clients.
Job Requirements & Responsibilities:

• Prepare engineering reports, cost estimates, and project schedules.
• Research jurisdictional requirements and incorporate them into project design.
• Create design drawings using MicroStation, Geopak, and Open Roads.
• Write and prepare graphic materials for presentations and documents.
• Collaborate with a team of engineers to design and produce construction documents.
• Possesses technical and professional knowledge and skills to perform the job effectively, efficiently, and safely.
• Review and verify drawings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project specifications before submission.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure designs are free from errors or inconsistencies.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in an organized and professional manner.
• Ability to concentrate on details, work under deadline pressures, apply sound logic and judgment, and prioritize tasks and responsibilities.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work for TJ Hunter Engineering, Inc. in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
  

Qualifications
Minimum:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.)
• 1-5 years of related experience
• Valid driver’s license
