REMOTE: CA-Barred Junior Associate Attorney

Robert Half Legal is working with a well-respected mid-size civil litigation firm in Century City, California, seeking a Junior Associate Attorney to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis. This hybrid role is an excellent opportunity for recently barred California attorneys eager to build their legal careers while gaining hands-on civil litigation experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support senior attorneys with various aspects of civil litigation, including conducting legal research, drafting motions, preparing pleadings, and assisting in discovery.
• Participate in depositions, hearings, and mediations as appropriate.
• Collaborate with team members to formulate case strategies and provide comprehensive legal support.
• Maintain clear communication with clients, opposing counsel, and colleagues to ensure effective case handling.

Qualifications:

• Must be a recently barred attorney in California, in good standing with the California State Bar.
• 0–2 years of experience in civil litigation (internships, externships, or clerkships with exposure to litigation are highly valued).
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.
• Proficiency with legal technology, such as case management software, eDiscovery tools, and standard office applications (MS Office Suite).
