Automation Engineer / QA EngineerA leading biometric and identity solutions organization is seeking an Automation Engineer / QA Engineer to join its biometric solutions team supporting state-level identity verification and enrollment platforms. This position focuses on ensuring the quality, reliability and stability of biometric enrollment systems that integrate hardware devices, software applications, cloud-based workflows and payment processing components. The ideal candidate brings a balanced background in both manual testing and test automation, with 50% of their responsibilities focused on manual QA and 50% focused on automation engineering.
The right individual enjoys investigating system behavior, simulating real-world scenarios, creating automated test data and troubleshooting issues across hardware, software, and network environments. This role is ideal for a QA professional with 2.5–3 years of experience who enjoys digging into problems, understanding root causes and partnering closely with developers to ensure high-quality releases.Day-to-Day ResponsibilitiesExecute manual and automated testing for biometric enrollment, identity verification, and payment device workflows.Create and maintain automated test scripts, simulators, dummy data, and test scenarios.Validate hardware/software integrations and troubleshoot issues across software, hardware, network, and configuration layers.Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing while documenting test results and defects.Collaborate with Developers, Product Owners, and Integration Engineers using Jira, Xray, and Agile methodologies.Support multiple state-level implementations and drive improvements in test efficiency, automation coverage, and overall product quality.We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
