nA retail client is seeking a Senior AI Observability & Governance Engineer to help expand enterprise AI observability capabilities by integrating Snowflake Cortex with our AI observability and governance platform built on Arize.
nToday, the AI observability and governance platform provides monitoring, tracing, governance, and evaluation capabilities for our generative AI ecosystem. As Snowflake Cortex adoption grows across the organization, we need an engineer who can connect Cortex workloads into the existing platform framework to ensure consistent observability, governance, and compliance standards across the enterprise.
nThis role sits at the intersection of software engineering, AI platforms, MLOps, data engineering, and observability.
nKey Responsibilities
nDesign and implement integrations between Snowflake Cortex and internal platform built in Arize.
nEnable monitoring, tracing, and evaluation of AI applications running within Snowflake.
nInstrument LangGraph and agent-based AI workflows for observability and governance.
nBuild APIs, connectors, and services that bridge Snowflake AI workloads with existing platform's capabilities.
nEnsure existing governance policies, sensitivity controls, and compliance requirements are applied consistently across Cortex workloads.
nCollaborate closely with the platform team and other engineering stakeholders.
nDocument implementation patterns and create reusable onboarding guidance for future AI teams.

nSkills and Requirements
n5+ years of experience in software engineering, AI platform engineering, MLOps, ML engineering, or data engineering.
nStrong Python development skills.
nStrong SQL skills.
nExperience with LangGraph or similar agentic AI orchestration frameworks.
nExperience integrating multiple enterprise platforms through APIs, SDKs, webhooks, or event-driven architectures.
nExperience monitoring, governing, or operating AI/ML systems in production.
nAbility to work independently in a highly collaborative environment. Experience with AI observability platforms such as Arize, Phoenix, LangSmith, or similar.
nExperience with Snowflake Cortex, Cortex Agents, Cortex Analyst, or Snowpark.
nKnowledge of OpenTelemetry and OpenInference standards.
nExperience with AI governance, responsible AI, or model evaluation frameworks.
nExperience integrating monitoring or observability tooling with Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, or other enterprise platforms.
nFamiliarity with data lineage, trace collection, monitoring, and alerting systems.
