The Remedy Developer is responsible for designing, developing, customizing, and supporting Remedy applications in a highly dynamic environment.
This role requires hands-on expertise with Remedy development, integration capabilities, scripting, and data management.
The developer will work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, build new features, support customizations, and ensure the stability and performance of the Remedy platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement Remedy applications within a highly customized environment.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to gather, analyze, and document requirements for enhancements and new features.
- Customize Remedy applications using workflows, scripting, UI policies, and configuration tools.
- Build integrations between Remedy and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, scripts, and middleware.
- Perform unit testing and support user acceptance testing to ensure solution quality.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including workflow diagrams, design specifications, and data models.
- Provide technical support for Remedy applications and resolve platform issues.
- Monitor and stay updated on Remedy system upgrades, new features, and best practices.
- Support ongoing maintenance activities, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of hands-on experience as a Remedy Developer.
- Strong knowledge of Remedy development including Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Actions, Scheduled Jobs, Import Sets, Transform Maps, and Web Services.
- Experience developing Remedy integrations using REST, SOAP, or other integration methods.
- Proficiency in PL/SQL, stored procedure development, and performance tuning.
- Experience working with Oracle databases.
- Experience writing Linux shell scripts and Python scripts.
- Experience with Linux operating systems.
- Familiarity with the Remedy upgrade process and resolving post-upgrade issues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently or in team settings.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience upgrading Remedy 20.x to Helix on-prem.
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
- AWS experience.
- Experience with Helix (even if not in the current environment).
