As a Relief Veterinarian at PetIQ in Ohio, you will provide high‑quality preventive care and client education in a flexible, non‑full‑service environment. Whether you are a recent graduate or an experienced veterinarian, this role offers an opportunity to deliver quality services at our weekday or weekend community clinics while maintaining PetIQ’s reputation for affordable preventative healthcare for pet parents.
Essential Functions / Job Duties
- On‑site veterinarian care for weekday and weekend community clinics
- Perform brief medical examinations, including vitals
- Administer vaccines, limited diagnostic testing, microchipping, and nail trims
- Educate pet parents on preventive healthcare and products
- Update electronic medical records
- Deliver and perform care in accordance with PetIQ medical standards and best practices
Minimum Requirements
- Licensed DVM in the state of Ohio
- Liability insurance: $1M per occurrence / $2M aggregate
- Ability to drive to various locations
- Weekend availability
- Ability to use iPad or tablet
Physical Requirements
- Ability to safely perform job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting productivity standards
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with federal, state and local standards
