Del Monte Foods has a powerful portfolio of brands, including the iconic Del Monte®, Contadina® and S&W®. We are currently seeking a Relief Operator.
The Relief Operator is responsible for covering multiple machine positions within the Label Line area, including palletizer, label, depalletizer, and casing machines. This role ensures continuity of operations while maintaining compliance with safety standards, GMP, and OSHA regulations.Accountabilities:Monitor palletizer product quality and report mechanical issues.Verify label accuracy, remove defective product, and ensure label machine is operational.Inspect, remove, and document defective cans from depalletizer per protocol.Ensure continuous and correct carton supply to casing machine.Maintain open communication with stock controllers and supervisors.Keep work area clean and comply with OSHA, GMP, and safety standards.Assist in maintaining warehouse security.Minimum Skills Required:Any equivalent combination of experience and education will be consideredBilingual English/Spanish preferredBasic proficiency in reading, writing, and mathPrior experience operating palletizer, label, depalletizer, or casing machinesBasic computer skillsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.Experience in a manufacturing or food production environmentAbility to operate palletizer machineAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentStrong teamwork and communication skillsCompliance with OSHA, GMP, and safety standards***Please note: This position does not qualify for relocation expenses.***We are committed to maintaining a drug-free workplace and are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
