Onsite Full Time Engineering

We are seeking a Reliability Engineer to provide technical expertise in reliability engineering and mechanical integrity programs within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for improving plant reliability, maximizing asset utilization, ensuring compliance with mechanical integrity standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical engineering background, experience with reliability-centered maintenance practices, and a passion for improving equipment performance and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Reliability Engineering & Mechanical Integrity

  • Develop, maintain, and oversee plant Mechanical Integrity programs covering:
  • Process piping
  • Emergency shutdown systems
  • Control systems
  • Conduct reliability studies on existing equipment and recommend improvements to asset strategies, maintenance philosophies, and operational best practices.
  • Create and manage predictive maintenance programs to improve equipment performance and reliability.
  • Maintain equipment records, identify critical spare parts requirements, and ensure SAP Bills of Materials are accurate and up to date.
  • Develop and implement reliability procedures and performance metrics.
  • Prepare periodic reliability reports and recommendations for plant leadership.
  • Lead ongoing improvements to plant Mechanical Integrity practices and procedures.
  • Establish preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to identify abnormal operating conditions before failures occur.
  • Provide technical expertise for job planning, troubleshooting, equipment criticality assessments, and maintenance scope development.
  • Lead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) activities and utilize reliability methodologies such as DMAIC to identify and implement corrective actions.
  • Define and approve equipment repair methods, evaluate third-party repair vendors, and inspect completed repair work.
  • Budget development and control
  • Feasibility studies
  • Bid package preparation
  • Serve as the site’s Plant Energy Manager .
  • Lead initiatives to improve energy efficiency, reduce consumption, and support sustainability objectives.

Safety & Compliance

  • Participate in Management of Change (MOC) reviews related to technical and engineering modifications.
  • Support all Health, Environment, Safety, and Quality (HESQ) initiatives and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Actively participate in site safety programs and continuous safety improvement efforts.
  • Promote reporting and investigation of safety incidents, near misses, and environmental events.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering .
  • Minimum of 5 years of maintenance and reliability experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of equipment reliability, maintenance strategies, and asset management principles.

Preferred

  • Experience within the chemical manufacturing industry .
  • API Certification .
  • Experience with SAP maintenance systems.

Desired Skills & Competencies

  • Knowledge of reliability engineering tools and methodologies, including:
  • Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA)
  • Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (FMEA)
  • Weibull Analysis
  • Statistical Reliability Analysis
  • Familiarity with Recognized and Generally Accepted Good Engineering Practices (RAGAGEP).
  • Working knowledge of industry standards and codes, including:
  • ASME
  • API
  • ASTM
  • Strong project management, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
