Release Train Engineer – Azure / AKS
Our direct client is looking for a hands-on Release Train Engineer with strong Azure, Kubernetes, DevOps, and infrastructure experience. This is a technical role for someone who can get into the engineering details while also coordinating releases and working across development, architecture, security, and operations teams.
What our client is looking for:
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service)
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and kubectl in production environments
- Strong Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions experience building YAML-based CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with Terraform or Bicep and infrastructure-as-code
- Strong understanding of Azure networking, REST APIs, DNS, TLS, ingress, load balancing, Key Vault, RBAC, and managed identities
- Experience troubleshooting deployments, containers, networking, authentication, and API performance issues
- Experience with production releases, monitoring, incident response, rollback procedures, and root-cause analysis
- Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate across technical teams and business stakeholders
Nice to have:
- Azure, Kubernetes, or Azure DevOps certifications
- Azure API Management and private AKS networking
- Workload identity and disaster recovery experience
- Prometheus/Grafana or similar monitoring tools
- Experience in financial services or another regulated environment
- SAFe/RTE or Release on Demand experience
