- Plan, coordinate, and oversee the deployment of application and platform changes into production.
- Focus on overnight maintenance windows, where timing, accuracy, and risk management are critical.
- Ensure code releases are scheduled, approved, and communicated in advance.
- Ensure deployment activities follow established processes, controls, and readiness checks.
- Work with development, QA, Platform Engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to confirm release content is validated, dependencies are understood, and implementation plans are complete before production activity begins.
- Serve as the central point of coordination during maintenance windows.
- Guide teams through deployment steps, monitor progress against the release plan, and manage communication throughout the event.
- Help identify and resolve issues in real time.
- Ensure rollback or contingency plans are ready if needed.
- Confirm post-deployment validation is completed before considering the release successful.
- Document outcomes, track risks and lessons learned, and refine release processes to improve reliability, efficiency, and cross-team coordination.
