Our commitment to inclusion, diversity, equity, and advancement (IDEA) is central to our culture, ensuring every team member feels valued and empowered to make a difference.We're looking for a Reimbursement Specialist who wants their work to mean something — someone who brings care, accountability, and precision to every claim they touch.Why This Role MattersThis role plays an important part in helping LUX Infusion deliver a patient-first experience by ensuring accurate, timely reimbursement so patients can access care without unnecessary delays or financial confusion.In this role, you'll contribute to work that:Helps patients receive life-sustaining therapies without disruptionSupports clinicians, pharmacy teams, and care coordinators through reliable billing and reimbursement processesStrengthens the financial foundation of a growing, clinician-led organization focused on long-term patient outcomesEvery claim represents a real person managing a complex condition — and this role helps remove barriers so care can continue seamlessly.Role DetailsResponsibilities include:Ensure accurate and timely billing and reimbursement by submitting clean claims to primary and secondary payersReview, correct, and resubmit rejected or denied claims promptlyVerify insurance eligibility, authorizations, and documentation prior to medication deliveryMaintain complete and accurate patient billing files, including CMNs, prescriptions, and supporting medical documentationConfirm delivery dates before claim submission and invoice patients for applicable responsibility amountsServe as a key partner to pharmacy, care coordination, and field staff to resolve billing issuesTrack accounts receivable activity and maintain detailed AR status reportingCommunicate regularly with insurance companies, providers, and internal teams regarding claim statusPredict cash flow based on claim progression and payer response patternsMaintain documentation of all payer communications and follow-upsRespond to payer requests for records, authorizations, and clinical documentation in a timely mannerSupport insurance contract maintenance and payer audits as neededMonitor trends in payer behavior, coverage changes, and industry updates, escalating concerns appropriatelyParticipate in quality assurance activities, audits, training, and continuing education initiativesBring reliability, organization, and follow-through to a fast-paced revenue cycle environmentWhat We're Looking ForYou may be a great fit if you bring:Deep care about how billing accuracy impacts patient access and experienceAt least two years of medical insurance or reimbursement experienceStrong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple prioritiesClear verbal and written communication skillsComfort working with billing systems, payer portals, and Microsoft Office toolsStrong customer service mindset and professionalism when resolving complex payer issuesAbility to stay organized and adaptable amid changing workloadsPreferred (but not required):Home infusion or specialty pharmacy reimbursement experienceFamiliarity with CPR+ and/or CareTend systemsCertified Pharmacy Technician credentialsExperience supporting patients with chronic or rare conditionsYou don't need to check every box — we care just as much about how thoughtfully you approach your work as your specific background.Why LUX InfusionAt LUX Infusion, we believe infusion care deserves more light — more warmth, more clarity, and more connection.Here, you'll find:Purpose-driven work that directly supports patient careA patient-first, clinician-led cultureCollaborative teams across pharmacy, revenue cycle, and care coordinationOpportunities to grow your expertise in specialty infusion reimbursementCome help us elevate infusion care — and see what's possible when accuracy, empathy, and accountability come together.Pay Range/Rate$23 - $27 USDPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here represent those required for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.
