Physical Therapist
Position Description
This is a contract position for Physical Therapy, with a duration of 13 weeks. The position requires a Texas License and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Pediatric experience is preferred, however, not mandatory.

• Days/Weekends: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• No On-Call Requirements

General Information About the Unit

• Number of Beds: Covers rehab; if volume is down, will include acute and outpatient care.
• Number of Staff: 2 full-time PTs & 2 PTAs on day shift.
• Patient Ratios:
  
  • 5-6 patient care hours in rehab
  • 12-15 patients in acute care
  • 6-7 patients in outpatient care
• Type of Equipment: Not specified
• EMR System: Meditech
• Permanent Positions Available: Yes

Qualifications

• Must Have:
  
  • Texas State License in Physical Therapy
  • Inpatient Rehab Experience
• Preferred:
  
  • Bilingual candidates are preferred due to a predominately Hispanic population.

Responsibilities

• Conduct PT evaluations, reassessments, and treatments for inpatient rehab.
• Participate in team conferences, provide family training, and conduct home assessments as needed.
