Director of Therapy and Rehabilitation Services
The Director of Therapy and Rehabilitation Services will oversee the daily operations, clinical performance, and strategic direction of rehabilitation services within the facility. This role involves managing therapy programs while ensuring high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, staff supervision, budgeting, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide supervision and support to all Physical Therapists (PT) and Physical Therapist Assistants (PTA).
- Conduct evaluations for Physical Therapists.
- Collaborate with physicians, leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to develop treatment programs and improve patient outcomes.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable state and federal healthcare regulations.
- Oversee inpatient (swing bed) and outpatient therapy services.
Schedule
The position offers 8-hour days with a guaranteed 30 hours of work per week. Currently, there are no weekend or holiday shifts required.
Qualifications
- Active Arkansas Physical Therapy License.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
- Minimum of 2 to 5 years of management experience in a therapy setting.
- Strong communication and patient education skills.
- Ability to work independently in a smaller team environment.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) and documentation systems.
- Strong time management and adaptability in mixed settings.
- Preferred: Experience in rural or critical access hospital settings and comfort with floating between inpatient and outpatient caseloads.
- Preferred: Experience with Trubridge/CPSI EMR system.
Vaccination Requirements
Documentation of influenza vaccination is required.
