Tobacco Program Expert
Serve as a recognized government-wide expert in matters related to tobacco programs and is frequently called on to advise others concerning Food and Drug Administration (FDA) statutes and regulations.
Initiate decision making process and documents, participate in discussions and decisions on Office and Center plans, programs, and activities, both in strategic planning, actual determination, allocation and administration of Center program segment.
Review, summarize and draft responses to all public comments received on proposed regulations; adoption or rejection of counter-proposals contained in comments and objections; drafts final regulations.
Represent Office of Regulations and Center for Tobacco in dealing and negotiating with Congress; other Federal agencies; State, local, and foreign governments; regulated industry; professional and industry organizations; and public interest groups.
