The Regulatory Assistant will assist and support all roles in the Regulatory Department. This role will report directly to the Regulatory Supervisor.Duties and Responsibilities:Coordinate Error & Omission compliance of contracted agents/agenciesRequest the errors and omissions certificates; Update CRM agent errors and omissions fields, and DMS the record with the appropriate agencyReview and distribute incoming circulars and bulletins with assistance from the Legal DepartmentNotify regulatory officials of contact person changes for various departmental positionsAdminister regulatory bureau access for employees across departments.Provide general clerical support services to enhance the operation of the Regulatory DepartmentServe as a back-up and cross-train with Licensing Coordinator in the licensing process for agents and employeesCross-train as back-up for processing of default base commission rate changes in NexusProcess license renewals for AGAI and certain licensed employees, and file all related correspondence in AGAI's and the employees' filesAssist with appointing our licensed FL claim adjusters as needed and process the registration of GA Staff Adjusters annuallyAssist and support Regulatory departmental areas in maintaining compliance as neededQualifications:High school diploma or GED requiredStrong computer skills requiredStrong organizational planning and prioritization skillsAbility and capability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the companyAttention to detail and accuracyAbility to work independently in carrying out assignments to completionWork well as part of a teamAbility to maintain confidentialityAbility to think through problems and explore solutions to streamline processes for efficiencyFoster the AMERISAFE culture by embracing the pillars of consistency, focus, frugality, ownership and serviceUpon an offer and acceptance of employment with AMERISAFE, you will be required to complete our pre-employment screening, which includes a criminal background check, a 10-panel drug test and, if applicable, a review of your motor vehicle report.
