Catholic School RegistrarThe Registrar fulfills the mission of the Catholic school by registering and organizing student and family files and reports for the school. The Registrar has decision making responsibilities within essential job functions, in keeping with school policies.Position Responsibilities:Supports and upholds the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the schoolActs as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic ChurchSupports and adheres to the Religious Standards for Catholic School Employees and policies and procedures of the school and ArchdioceseMaintains confidentiality regarding school mattersAdheres to safety training and protocols on a daily basis and takes precautionary measures to ensure the safety and well-being of self, others.Responsible for protecting the confidentiality of any information or material obtained in the service with the organization to include but not limited to client names and information, services rendered to clients, donors names and gifts, internal and external investigations or results of any investigations, and financial information.Adherence to the Code of Conduct and the Faith and Moral Policy is mandatory.Every employee is required to take a solution-oriented approach in their interactions and undertakings, as well as being a team member that promotes collaboration and commitment to the Mission and Vision of the organization.Performs other duties as assigned.Records, Reports, and Correspondence:Maintain physical and computerized records including student cumulative folders, progress and failure reports, class rosters, schedule changes, and grade books.Process new student records, including requesting transcripts and records from other schools, setting up cumulative folder, and entering student data into appropriate databases.Coordinate grading process, including processing of scan sheets, verification and correction of grades, and printing and distribution of report cards.Process and transmit requests for student information, including student transcripts for colleges and universities.Prepare and distribute eligibility lists.Calculate grade point averages, class rank, and prepare honor rolls.Assist counselors with the enrollment, withdrawals, and transfer of students and process applicable records.Assist campus administration and counselors with the preparation of reports and student data information.Other:Prepare and distribute student identification cards, bus passes, and parking stickers.Coordinate the ordering and distribution of all graduate materials, including caps and gowns and diplomas.Other duties as assignedRequirements:Minimum Qualifications:Education: High school or GEDExperience: Minimum of three years clerical experience.License and Credentials:Reliable transportationValid driver licenseValid vehicle insuranceMust pass archdiocesan Safe Environment Requirements and background screeningMust pass Texas DPS Fingerprint-based Applicant Clearinghouse screeningMinimum Knowledge and Skills:Three years clerical experienceAbility to maintain accurate and auditable records Ability to use personal computer and software to develop or maintain spreadsheets and databases, and do word processing Proficient keyboarding and file maintenance skills Basic math skills Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skillsMust be detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, work well independently and on a team.Must have good written and verbal skillsMust have good critical thinking and problem-solving skills.The Archdiocese of San Antonio is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
