Respiratory Therapist
Location: Pendleton, OR Area Permanent Direct Hire | Full-Time
We are seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join a collaborative healthcare team in Eastern Oregon. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a community-focused hospital where you'll provide high-quality respiratory care to patients of all ages.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, treat, and monitor patients with cardiopulmonary disorders
- Administer respiratory therapies and medications as prescribed
- Operate and maintain ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP devices, and other respiratory equipment
- Perform arterial blood gas sampling and interpret results as appropriate
- Respond to respiratory emergencies and participate in rapid response situations
- Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments and disease management
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and adhere to hospital policies and regulatory standards
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential
- Oregon Respiratory Care Practitioner license (or eligibility to obtain)
- BLS certification required (ACLS and PALS preferred or obtainable after hire)
- Previous hospital experience preferred, but strong new graduates are encouraged to apply
