Registered Pharmacist – FT Overnight
Facility: White Plains Hospital
Location: 41 East Post Road, White Plains, NY
Schedule: Full Time
Shift: Overnight / Night Shift
Work Schedule: Alternate Work Schedule
Job Summary:
Provide pharmaceutical services and indirect patient care under the direction of Pharmacy leadership. Review medication orders against patient medication profiles for accuracy, safety, and appropriateness. Collaborate with nurses, physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals in delivering quality patient care. Apply medication safety practices and support the age-specific needs of patients. Participate in quality improvement, risk management, and infection control activities. Utilize effective clinical decision-making, resource utilization, and collaboration with the healthcare team. Provide oversight and direction to Pharmacy Assistants and Pharmacy Transporters. Maintain professional accountability, required competencies, and applicable pharmacy licensure requirements. Support pharmacy operations while maintaining compliance with hospital policies and applicable standards.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy required. Active New York State Pharmacist License required upon hire. Knowledge of medication delivery systems. Knowledge of medical terminology. Ability to work collaboratively with the healthcare team and adapt to an alternate/overnight work schedule.
