Veterans Inc., the largest provider of supportive services to Veterans and their families in New England, is seeking to fill the Registered Nurse position and become a valued member of the Veterans Inc. team.

We are offering part‑time (20 hours/week) and per diem positions in our Shrewsbury and Worcester locations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nursing and medication assessments for clients at admission.
• Oversee dispensing of medication, monitor patient health progress, and coordinate care.
• Deliver health education groups and provide case management services.
• Provide medication education, administer medications as ordered, and maintain accurate accounting of all medication received and dispensed.
• Safekeep medication stock and complete records required by the DEA, FDA, and Board of Pharmacy.
• Collect and process urine specimens, manage test results, and ensure completion of all required forms.
• Provide patient education on health‑related issues individually and in group environments.
• Attend and participate in all required meetings.

Qualifications

• Minimum associate’s degree from an accredited school of nursing; Bachelor’s degree valued.
• Current and valid Massachusetts licensure as a registered nurse.
• Current CPR certification.
• Minimum of one year of nursing experience preferred; substance abuse treatment experience valued.
• Pass a CORI/background records check.
• Compliance with Veterans Inc. COVID‑19 vaccination policy (exemptions considered).

Salary: $40 per hour.
