Job Summary
Location: Methodist Women's Hospital
Address: 707 N. 190th Plaza - Elkhorn, NE
Work Schedule: 12 Hour Shifts/Week, rotating weekends, rotating holidays. 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
Requires a minimum of two years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with prior experience in women’s health strongly preferred. The Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) provides flexible, high-quality patient care across multiple Women’s & Children’s service areas, including Mother/Baby, GYN, High-Risk OB (HROB), NICU, and Labor & Delivery.
Assignments are based on the RN’s experience and competencies. In the NICU, responsibilities typically include care of feeder/grower infants, with advanced assignments (e.g., ventilated patients) reserved for those with specialized training. RNs without prior Labor & Delivery experience will support postpartum recoveries rather than active labor patients until required certifications are obtained.
Float Pool RNs are cross‑trained to support additional patient populations, including Medical‑Surgical units as needed, and may provide task‑based support in the Emergency Department. Opportunities for additional training, such as ED triage, are available for those interested in expanding their skill set.
This role requires adaptability, strong clinical skills, and a commitment to delivering safe, patient‑centered care across a variety of settings.
