- Perform a competent level of nursing care using the nursing process
- Conduct assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching, health promotion, and evaluation
- Apply standards of professional nursing performance, including ethics, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice, quality, resource utilization, and environmental health
- Use clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards required by specific clinical areas
- Provide emergency department nursing care as a Registered Nurse
Requirements
- Associate's Degree – Nursing, Bachelor's Degree – Nursing, or Diploma in Nursing
- Registered Nurse eligible to practice in VA
- ACLS, BLS NIHSS
- At least 2 years of recent bedside acute care in the Emergency Department as an RN required
- EPIC user strongly preferred
- Flexibility in scheduling required
- Able to work 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend
- Primary position; scheduling is not arranged around another job
