What You'll Do
- Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
- Perform age and disease-specific assessments independently.
- Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
- Identify patient/family education needs based on age and disease.
- Develop and coordinate a patient/family-focused plan of care.
- Communicate and implement the plan of care effectively.
- Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Administer medications utilizing advancements in bar-scanning technology.
- Evaluate progress toward attainment of patient outcomes.
- Adhere to established protocols and document events accurately.
Requirements
- Education: BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire
- Experience: At least 6 months of nursing experience or participation in a new grad nurse residency program
- Licenses & Certifications:
- Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license required
- BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association required within 60 days of hire
- Telemetry certification is a plus
