Job Summary
We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide quality healthcare services in a correctional facility. The RN will work under the direction of the facility CEO/CNE or designee and will be responsible for delivering safe, compassionate, and professional patient care while following California regulations, nursing standards, and facility protocols.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Active and valid California RN License issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- At least 36 continuous months of RN experience within the last 5 years in a public or private healthcare institution.
- Valid government-issued photo ID, such as a Driver’s License (front and back).
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapeutic procedures as prescribed by physicians.
- Perform nursing assessments and monitor patients' ongoing medical conditions.
- Document patient assessments, treatment, progress notes, and other required medical records accurately.
- Observe patients for changes in physical and psychological conditions and take appropriate nursing interventions.
- Participate as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Assist physicians and other healthcare providers with minor medical procedures.
- Provide patient health education and appropriate nursing guidance.
- Maintain a safe, secure, and professional healthcare environment.
- Follow facility policies, procedures, infection-control standards, and applicable California regulations.
- Deliver patient care within the RN's authorized scope of practice.
