The nurse will provide quality nursing services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities under the direction of the Director of Nursing.
Key Responsibilities
* * Provide nursing services based on each individual's healthcare needs.
* Administer medications and maintain accurate medication administration records.
* Monitor individuals' health conditions and communicate changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
* Provide medication administration training to staff in accordance with DHS guidelines.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation.
* Collaborate with the Director of Nursing, direct support professionals, families, and healthcare providers as appropriate.
* Promote the health, safety, dignity, and overall well-being of the individuals served.
* Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications
* * Nursing diploma or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
* At least one year of related nursing experience.
* Current, valid Illinois RN or LPN license.
* Strong communication, organizational, and clinical skills.
