WCS Healthcare Partners is working with a correctional facility in Wallkill, NY to hire a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for an evening shift opportunity. This position offers the chance to provide quality healthcare services in a secure clinical environment while making a meaningful impact on patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform nursing assessments and ongoing patient evaluations
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders
- Monitor, document, and report changes in patient conditions
- Respond to urgent and emergent medical situations
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and healthcare staff to coordinate care
- Assist with intake screenings, chronic disease management, and health education
- Adhere to facility policies, nursing standards, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License
- BLS Certification required
- Minimum of one year of nursing experience preferred
- Experience in correctional health, emergency room, medical-surgical, behavioral health, or long-term care is highly preferred
- Strong assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment
Schedule
- Evening Shift: 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM
- Consistent schedule available
- Potential for additional shifts
