Sign‑on bonus is available to applicants who have not received a sign‑on bonus from the company for another role within the past 24 months. Full Time Fri/Sat/Sun 7p‑7a; following weekend requirements and some on‑call hours required.

Pay Range

$44.15 - $66.25

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the direct provision of patient care and for assisting the manager with daily operations, including coordination of patient care/outcomes, allocation of human and fiscal resources, communications, patient throughput, program development, staff selection, development, and retention, clinical supervision and performance appraisal, performance improvement activities, service recovery, and compliance with regulatory agency requirements.
  • Supports the manager utilizing systematic approaches to enhance the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice and delivery of care in the department.
  • Assists with interview, selection, and supervision of nursing personnel.
  • Assists with coordination of communication throughout shifts via staff meetings/huddles.
  • Collaborates with the manager to ensure understanding and compliance with federal and state laws, healthcare services and practice, and all required regulations and policies.
  • Rounds on patients, teammates, and physicians to assess care and operational effectiveness.
  • Delegates elements of care to appropriate healthcare workers, complying with applicable legal or policy parameters.
  • Assists in identifying expected outcomes for continuity of care and department operations.
  • Evaluates progress toward goal attainment and disseminates information to relevant team members.
  • Performs nursing care, administers medications, and assists with procedures and therapies as needed.
  • Coordinates management of patient flow/throughput and staffing by continuously assessing volume/acuity needs.

Physical Requirements

Work requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling. Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds. Must speak and understand English fluently. Intact sense of sight, hearing, smell, and touch. Finger dexterity. Critical thinking and ability to concentrate.

Education, Experience and Certifications

Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. Current RN licensure in the appropriate state. Minimum two years of nursing experience preferred; previous management experience preferred. BSN required. RN candidates for external hire or internal promotion without BSN must be enrolled in a BSN program within one year of hire/transfer date and complete it within three years. BLS required. Appropriate professional certification (clinical or leadership) required within one year of eligibility.
