Registered Nurse (RN) Postpartum / NICU Float Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to provide coordinated nursing care for individual patients or assigned patient groups in accordance with established standards of nursing practice and the nursing process. The RN will supervise and direct assigned nursing staff, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and utilize critical thinking and independent judgment to ensure high-quality patient care.
Shift Details- Day Shift
- 36 to 48 Hours per Week
- Postpartum Experience Required
- NICU RNs will float as NRP nurses and support Postpartum units as needed
- Collect and assess patient health data and clinical information.
- Analyze assessment findings to identify nursing diagnoses and care needs.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
- Coordinate patient care and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
- Promote patient safety, health education, and a healing care environment.
- Provide education and support to patients and family members.
- Participate in discharge planning and continuity of care initiatives.
- Delegate tasks appropriately and oversee healthcare team activities.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with organizational policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Postpartum experience required.
- NICU experience preferred.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
- Effective leadership and delegation capabilities.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and safety.
