Post Operative Care Unit (PACU) Summary
- Phase I PACU on 1st floor
- Variety of Post-Op patients (Ortho & neuro surgery, OB/GYN, Plastics, Gender Affirmation, Robotics, everything except open heart and transplant cases)
- Excellent teamwork and fun environment
- Lower turnover
- Part of our state-of-the-art surgical pavilion, which opened in 8/2020
- Lower call frequency
- Ability to be cross-trained to PreOp
Available Roles
- Unit based PRN
Requirements
- 4 shifts in 6 weeks, two weekend or nights shifts in 6 weeks, 1 holiday or hard-to-fill shift annually
Qualifications
- ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
- 1 year of RN experience required. For the full-time role, 2+ years of PACU RN experience strongly preferred. Experience with vents a plus.
- Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required (AHA or American Red Cross). ACLS, PALS preferred or PALS within 6 months after hire.
