Student Loan Repayment
Position may be eligible for Avera’s Student Loan Repayment Program. Each month an extra payment of $167 (up to $10,000) from Avera will help pay down the principal balance faster.

Registered Nurse (RN)
Carries out professional nursing care under provider direction. Requires an active state nursing license.
LPN
Provides professional nursing care under provider direction. Requires an active state license.
Athletic Trainer
Provides care under physician supervision and follows quality standards. Assists in orthopedic procedures, operates modalities, and manages DME, splinting, casting, and billing.
- Certified Athletic Trainer required through NATABOC.
- Licensed in South Dakota.
- CSCS certification through the NSCA preferred.
Medical Assistant
Performs selected medical assistant and clerical duties following established standards. Collaborates with clinic staff and supports patient care.
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) – NHA or NCMA.
- CCMA – NHA with one year of experience upon hire.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – AAMA upon hire.
- Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) – AMT upon hire.
What You Will Do
- Perform general nursing care to patients.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments per nursing standards.
- Coordinate patient care activities for the clinic.
- Prepare equipment and assist provider during procedures, treatments, examinations, and testing.
- Observe, record, and report patient’s condition and reactions to drugs and treatments.
- Oversee appointment scheduling and ensure timely flow of patients.
- Greet patients and perform nursing assessments, including health history, vitals, and documentation.
- Respond to patient phone calls promptly with appropriate input from the physician.
- Educate patients and families about diagnostic processes, medications, nutrition, and wellness maintenance.
- Suggest solutions to patient care crisis problems and complaints.
- Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and cleanliness.
- Ensure appropriate labeling of pathology specimens per lab protocol.
- Perform quality control and maintain records on all lab testing.

Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience
- Registered Nurse (RN) – Board of Nursing license active in the state of practice upon hire.
