Position Summary
We are currently seeking compassionate, dependable Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our nursing team on 2nd and 3rd shifts. As a RN/LPN at Allure of Pinecrest, you will provide direct nursing care to residents while supervising nursing assistants and ensuring the highest quality of care.
Responsibilities
- Deliver skilled nursing care in accordance with Illinois Nurse Practice Act and facility policies
- Assess residents and identify changes in condition
- Notify physicians and appropriate team members of significant clinical changes
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Monitor residents for medication effectiveness and adverse reactions
- Complete thorough nursing assessments and documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Process and implement physician orders accurately
- Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges
- Participate in MDS assessments and interdisciplinary care planning
- Collaborate with physicians, therapy, hospice, pharmacy, dietary, and other members of the interdisciplinary team
- Supervise and support Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs)
- Promote resident safety through fall prevention and infection control practices
- Monitor nutrition, hydration, pain management, skin integrity, and wound care
- Collect laboratory specimens as ordered
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) when needed
- Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and facility regulations
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered care while maintaining residents' dignity and independence
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited RN or LPN nursing program
- Current Illinois RN or LPN license in good standing
- Current CPR certification
- Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move throughout the shift
- Lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds
- Assist with resident transfers and emergency evacuations
- Read, write, speak, and understand English
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced healthcare environment while maintaining professionalism and compassion
Pay & Bonuses
- Competitive Pay: $33.00 - $41.00 per hour (based on experience and licensure)
- $7,500 Sign-On Bonus for Full-Time RNs
- $6,000 Sign-On Bonus for Full-Time LPNs
