Monday through Friday, Day shift, 8 hour shifts, 40 hours per week. Full time. FTE 1.0 or 0.9.

Salary Range

$41,100 – $61,650

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced RN Operating Room Lead to provide clinical leadership and operational oversight within our surgical services department. This role is responsible for coordinating daily operations, supporting staff, and ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care in a fast-paced perioperative environment. The ideal candidate is a strong clinical leader who can balance patient care responsibilities with team coordination and resource management.

Responsibilities

  • Manages supplies & equipment.
  • Oversees daily operations.
  • Coordinates staffing, assignments, and resources to support surgical procedures and departmental operations.
  • Provides daily work direction to clinical and support staff to ensure efficient workflow and optimal patient throughput.
  • Delivers direct patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Promotes a safe, therapeutic, and patient-centered environment through active rounding and quality oversight.
  • Facilitates effective communication among interdisciplinary team members, patients, and families.
  • Addresses service concerns and supports resolution efforts to improve patient and staff experience.
  • Serves as a clinical resource, providing guidance, training, and orientation to team members.
  • Monitors staff performance, provides feedback, and collaborates with leadership on performance evaluations.
  • Assists with hiring processes, employee engagement, and conflict resolution as needed.
  • Evaluates staffing levels and productivity needs; adjusts assignments to meet patient and departmental demands.
  • Maintains staff schedules and ensures appropriate coverage.
  • Monitors patient care quality and ensures adherence to organizational policies, nursing standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participates in quality improvement initiatives and peer review processes.
  • Supports budget planning and ensures adequate supplies, equipment, and inventory.
  • Collaborates with vendors, participates in product evaluations, and coordinates equipment training.
  • Assists leadership in developing and enhancing programs and services.
  • Provides age-appropriate care across the lifespan, demonstrating understanding of growth and development principles.
  • Assesses and interprets patient data to deliver individualized care aligned with departmental standards.

Licensure & Certifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – required.

Experience

  • Prior Operating Room or perioperative experience strongly preferred.
  • Leadership or charge nurse experience preferred.
