About The Team
Atrium Health One Day Surgery is a hospital‑based outpatient department with 11 operating rooms on the campus of Carolinas Medical Center. Approximately 800 surgeries are performed per month in a variety of specialties, including general surgery, pediatric and adult urology, gynecology, robotic, oncology, plastic/reconstruction, orthopedic, and EENT. The team is small, close‑knit, and offers Monday‑Friday schedule tracks with no on‑call duties.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the nurse practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Previous operating room experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Use evidence‑based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and communication skills to lead efforts that create the safest patient environment and deliver the best patient experience across the continuum.
