Registered Nurse (RN), On Call 7 On 7 Off Hospice

Full-Time | On-Call Overnights & Weekends | 7 Days On / 7 Days Off

Phenix Home Care & Hospice is seeking an experienced and compassionate On-Call Registered Nurse to support our Springfield hospice team. This role is essential to delivering timely, skilled, and meaningful end-of-life care in patients' homes—exactly when they and their families need it most.

What You'll Do

• Respond to the immediate care needs of hospice patients and families during nights and weekends.
• Complete routine and as-needed visits in home settings across the Overland Park region.
• Triage urgent situations and collaborate with hospice physicians to provide comfort and symptom management.
• Work closely with the interdisciplinary hospice team, community partners, and family caregivers.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold all regulatory and agency standards.
• Deliver professional, compassionate, patient-centered hospice care.
• Participate in ongoing training, education, and quality initiatives.

What You Bring

• Missouri RN License or Compact License.
• Hospice nursing experience preferred (Overland Park hospice experience a plus).
• Strong clinical judgment with the ability to work independently in home settings.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• High-level organization, time management, and emotional resilience.
