Registered Nurse (RN) - Mother Baby - Part-Time - Nights
Location: Texas Health Denton, 3000 N I-35 Denton, Texas 76201.
Shift: Part‑Time (24 Hour) Night Shift – 2/12 hour shifts from 7 p.m. – 7 a.m.

- The Center for Women at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Denton is a Texas 10‑step facility with the “Best Place to Have a Baby” designation. Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team.
- The unit has 23 beds Postpartum/Newborn, Couplet Care, 12 LDR beds, 2 OR suites, 3 private recovery rooms, 6 Antepartum rooms and 4 private OB/ED beds.
- Level III NICU with 16 beds with private rooms.
- The unit delivers an average between 175‑200 a month.
- OB Hospitalist 24/7.
- Anesthesiologist dedicated to L&D 24/7.
- New Women’s Tower that opened July 2022.
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred.
- Registered Nurse (RN) upon hire required.
- BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required.
- CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days required.
- NRP – Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 Days required.
- 1 Year Experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program required.
- Mother Baby experience preferred.
What You Will Do
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process.
- Assesses the patient.
- Plans the care of the patient.
- Intervenes as appropriate.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions.
- Incorporates age‑specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
- Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others’ need for information.
- Maintains continuity of patient care inter‑shift, inter‑hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
