Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) I & II

Start or grow your nursing career with purpose. East Mississippi State Hospital (EMSH) in Meridian is hiring Registered Nurses at the Nurse I and Nurse II levels. Positions are open in various departments. RNs with 01 years of experience, including new graduates, qualify for Nurse I. RNs with 2 or more years of experience qualify for Nurse II. This state job includes state health insurance, a state retirement plan (PERS), 18 days of personal leave, and 10 paid holidays a year.

• Location: Meridian, Mississippi
• Starting base salary:
• Nurse I: $39,881.60 per year, plus location pay
• Nurse II: $48,655.55 per year, plus location pay

About EMSH East Mississippi State Hospital is a behavioral health program run by the Mississippi Department of Mental Health. What You'll Do

• Serve as a member of the medical treatment team
• Review medical records
• Observe the medical care facility staff provide to patients
• Coordinate assessments from other disciplines
• Handle incident reporting and investigations
• Handle discharge planning
• Assign work to LPNs, nurse assistants, and other technical staff as needed
• Transport patients to offsite appointments when needed
• Apply restraints when necessary

What You'll Need Nurse I

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• 01 years of experience as an RN (new graduates welcome)

Nurse II

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• 2 or more years of experience as an RN
