Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg
Schedule: PRN, As Needed Nights (7p-7a).
About the Role
As a Registered Nurse on a 28‑bed Medical Surgical Unit, you will provide compassionate care to patients alongside physicians, advanced practitioners, registered nurses and certified nursing assistants. Working with a 6:1 nurse‑to‑patient ratio, you will assess patient needs, administer treatments, and ensure safety and comfort in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs.
- Initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
- Provide care tailored to the patient’s condition and age.
- Document medical necessity in the medical record in a timely and accurate manner.
- Prepare and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
- Conduct timely and accurate QI assessments.

Requirements
- Current North Carolina or compact state Registered Nurse license.
- Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school.
- AHA Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
- AHA ACLS and PALS certifications required within six months of hire.
- Preferred: One year of experience.
- Strong critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work independently, and work effectively in a high‑stress environment.
