Full‑time Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg Overflow. Sign‑off bonus of $10,000 for qualified candidates. Schedule: 3 x 12‑hour days (7a.m. – 7p.m.) with rotating weekends.

Location: North Alabama Medical Center, Florence, Alabama.

About the Unit

The Post‑Surgical Overflow Medical‑Surgical Unit is a 32‑bed inpatient unit specializing in the care of patients recovering from general, orthopedic, and neurosurgical procedures. The unit also provides medical‑surgical overflow as needed. Nurses generally manage a 1:6 patient‑to‑nurse ratio and provide comprehensive postoperative monitoring, pain management, and coordinated interdisciplinary care.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately perform patient assessments and identify medical‑surgical needs.
• Perform postoperative assessments.
• Perform wound care procedures.
• Document medical necessity accurately and timely in the medical record.
• Assist in multidisciplinary collaboration.

Required Qualifications

• Current Alabama or compact state RN license.
• Associate’s degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing school. (Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.)
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care certifications preferred.
• Experience preferred; new graduates welcomed.
