Responsibilities

• Demonstrate performance consistent with professional standards of practice, the Nurse Practice Act, and the mission and goals of Community Health Network.
• Manage patient care across the healthcare continuum to achieve optimum outcomes in a safe and cost‑effective manner.
• Demonstrate skills in collaboration, delegation, negotiation, and resource management.
• Provide medical and surgical care and support patients with cancer and hematology diagnoses in the Med/Surg/Oncology Unit at Community East Hospital.
• Collaborate with a unit‑based educator to develop a customized onboarding and orientation plan.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a National League for Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), or National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA) accredited school of nursing, or possess three years of related professional nursing experience.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in the state of Indiana and listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
• One year of RN experience preferred; new graduates will be considered.
• Required to become chemotherapy certified within 6 months of hire.
