Job Overview

Registered Nurse (RN), Intensive Care Unit (ICU) – Full-Time – Night shift. Sign-On Bonus: $10,000. Schedule: 3x12, 7p-7a, rotating weekends. Southern Tennessee Regional Health System – Lawrenceburg is part of Lifepoint Health.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatments.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient.

Qualifications

Applicants must have a current Tennessee or compact state RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 7 days of hire; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 3 months of hire; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 3 months of hire.
• Required Skills: Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision, ability to work in a stressful environment and act appropriately.
• Experience: One year of previous experience preferred.
• Licenses: Must be a licensed Registered Nurse with the State of Tennessee or a licensed Registered Nurse from a Compact State with the proper Tennessee paperwork filed within 30 days of hire.
• Education: Associate's degree required; BSN preferred.
