Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU / Step-Down ICU

Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights 7:00 PM 7:30 AM

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the ICU and Step-Down ICU units . The ideal candidate must have strong ICU experience in a Level I Trauma Center and be willing to float to the Step-Down ICU as needed.

• Active Illinois RN License
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
• Experience in a Level I Trauma Center preferred
• Current:
  • BLS/BCLS
  • ACLS
  • NIHSS
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (education verification required)
• Experience with EPIC EMR
• Must be willing to work holidays as required

• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide high-quality patient care.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders, hospital policies, and nursing standards.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and care needs.
• Participate in performance improvement and shared governance initiatives.
• Provide clinical expertise and support to other units/departments.
• Apply critical thinking skills to promote patient safety and enhance patient experience.
• Escalate patient care concerns through the appropriate chain of command when necessary.
