Registered Nurse (RN) Float Pool

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a Float Pool team supporting multiple patient care areas, including:
- Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
- Step-Down Unit
- Cardiac Telemetry
- Medical-Surgical
- Stroke/Neuro Unit
- Cardiac Progressive Care (CPCU)
The ideal candidate will have strong ICU and cardiac care experience and be comfortable floating to Medical-Surgical units as needed.
Responsibilities- Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders, nursing standards, and applicable regulations.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
- Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans and care needs.
- Participate in quality improvement and shared governance initiatives.
- Support continuity of care across departments and units.
- Apply critical thinking skills to ensure patient safety and optimal patient outcomes.
- Escalate clinical concerns appropriately through the chain of command.
- Active and current Illinois RN License
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- Recent ICU experience required
- Extensive Cardiac Telemetry/Cardiac Care experience required
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (education verification required)
- Experience with EPIC EMR
- BLS/BCLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS
- Holiday coverage required
- Must be willing to float between multiple units based on patient care needs
