Registered Nurse (RN) - Float Pool

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a Float Pool team supporting multiple patient care areas, including:

• Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• Step-Down Unit
• Cardiac Telemetry
• Medical-Surgical
• Stroke/Neuro Unit
• Cardiac Progressive Care (CPCU)

The ideal candidate will have strong ICU and cardiac care experience and be comfortable floating to Medical-Surgical units as needed.

• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders, nursing standards, and applicable regulations.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans and care needs.
• Participate in quality improvement and shared governance initiatives.
• Support continuity of care across departments and units.
• Apply critical thinking skills to ensure patient safety and optimal patient outcomes.
• Escalate clinical concerns appropriately through the chain of command.

• Active and current Illinois RN License
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Recent ICU experience required
• Extensive Cardiac Telemetry/Cardiac Care experience required
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (education verification required)
• Experience with EPIC EMR

• BLS/BCLS
• ACLS
• NIHSS

• Holiday coverage required
• Must be willing to float between multiple units based on patient care needs
