We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a Float Pool team supporting multiple patient care areas including:
- Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
- Step-Down Unit
- Cardiac Telemetry
- Medical-Surgical
- Stroke/Neuro Unit
- Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (CPCU)
Candidates must have strong ICU and cardiac telemetry experience and be willing to float to Medical-Surgical units as needed.
Responsibilities- Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established policies, procedures, and standards of care.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
- Provide patient and family education as appropriate.
- Participate in quality improvement and shared governance initiatives.
- Support continuity of care across departments and units.
- Demonstrate critical thinking and escalate patient care concerns through the appropriate chain of command.
- Active Illinois RN License
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
- Recent ICU experience required
- Strong Cardiac Telemetry experience required
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program
- Education verification required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS/BCLS (Basic Life Support)
- Holiday coverage required
- Floating between multiple specialties required
