Job Title: RN | Facility: Monmouth Medical Center | Department: Nursing Float Pool | Shift: Night | Pay Range: $46.90 - $63.09 per hour | Location: 300 Second Avenue, Long Branch, NJ 07740.

Job Function

The Registered Nurse provides nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards. The RN ensures ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics, promotes evidence-based practice, and maintains knowledge of patient population served. The RN reports safety issues, supervises task delegation, collaborates with patient care providers, sets priorities, and utilizes the nursing process to individually tailor care plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care within scope of practice.
• Promote ethical standards and evidence-based practice.
• Report identified safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors.
• Maintain knowledge of the patient population served.
• Supervise and direct delegation of tasks to team members.
• Collaborate with other patient care providers.
• Set and evaluate priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement.
• Utilize the nursing process to integrate all aspects of care and individualize care plans.

Qualifications

Required:

• ASN or Nursing Diploma.
• One to two years’ experience within specialty.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficient computer skills.

Certifications and Licenses Required:

• BLS and ACLS certification.
• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License.
• Valid N.J. State Driver’s License.

Preferred:

• BA/BS/BSN Degree.
• Completion of clinical experience in an NLN accredited school.
• Screening Certification eligibility.
• National Certification.

Scheduling Requirements

Night Shift, 36 hours per week.
