Registered Nurse – Adult Admission/Assessment Unit
Schedule: Shift length: 12-hour shifts. Must work 2 out of 3 holiday bundles (Thanksgiving & day after; Christmas Eve & Christmas Day; New Year's Eve & New Year's Day). RTO rules: >7 days off requires approval; no RTO during the first 7 days or last day of contract.
Assignment Details: Contract length: Minimum 10 weeks.
Requirements: Minimum 1 year RN experience. Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH. EKG competency: Pass/fail testing (2 attempts max).
Roles & Responsibilities: Provide initial inpatient care in a fast-paced admission/holding unit. Monitor and interpret telemetry and manage medical equipment. Handle frequent admissions and discharges. May be required to serve as relief charge and float to various units as needed.
Compliance / Notes: Orientation: Approximately 24 hours. Drug screen: Required within 30 days of start. Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed). No locals accepted within a 100-mile radius; non-local driver's license required.
