Registered Nurse (RN) / Emergency Dept (ED) – Contract position – In‑Office, Tucson, AZ.
Position Description
The Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to Emergency Room patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures. The RN demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgement and leadership in anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care of the patient in the Emergency Department; maintains clinical competencies through continuing education; delegates patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of the staff available; provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.
Shift & Schedule
Shift: Nights, 7 PM–7:30 AM (3×12 hr). Consider 48‑hr. Guarantee. Duration: 13 weeks. Projected start: 6/29/2026. Start time: 7:00 PM. End time: 7:30 AM.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience.
- Valid AZ RN license.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS certification.
- Experience with Cerner EMR preferable.
- Trauma Level III certification.
- Experience in stroke and STEMI receiving units.
- Ability to float as needed.
- Willingness to start within 2 weeks of offer acceptance.
Preferred
- Charge nurse experience – Additional rate available.
- NIH certification preferred but not required.
Facility
38‑bed community hospital, Trauma Level III Certified, Stroke and STEMI receiving.
