Registered Nurse (RN) - Clinic FryeCare Cardiology

Location: 2660 Tate Blvd SE, Hickory NC

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (Full‑time/Days)

Responsibilities

• Accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs.
• Identify and initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provide care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient.
• Perform timely and appropriate documentation of medical necessity in the medical record.
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Perform timely and accurate QI assessments.
• Provide plan of care interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatments.
• Document patient care given, monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support.
• Evaluate learning needs of patient and/or family and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
• Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within six months of hire.
• Cardiology experience preferred.
