Registered Nurse RN CCU/Stepdown | New Haven, CT

Take your critical care experience to a high-acuity MICU and stepdown setting with a 13-week travel assignment. This role offers consistent 3x12-hour day shifts and the opportunity to care for complex patients while supporting both stepdown and ICU coverage.

• Guaranteed Schedule: 36 hours/week

• Patient Ratio: 3:1 in SDU; ICU assignments may range from 1:1 to 2:1

• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend

• Call: None

• Floating: PCU, other ICUs, and another campus as needed

• Unit: 56-bed high-acuity MICU/Stepdown

• Charting: Epic

• Orientation: 16 hours, non-billable

• Local Candidates: Not accepted; candidates within 75 miles are considered local

• First-time travelers accepted

• COVID-19 Vaccine: Not required

• Flu Vaccine: Required, no exemptions

Minimum Requirements

• Active CT RN License

• 2+ years of experience required

• Critical care experience required

• ACLS required

• BLS required

• NIHSS required

• Experience with arterial line management

• Ventilated patient care experience

• Central line care and management

• Continuous IV sedation

• ABG interpretation

• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management

• Isolation precautions/PPE

• Experience managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
