$20,000 retention bonus available to external candidates only.
Position Overview
Ensures proper performance and maintenance of the Cath Lab, assesses patient needs, provides a safe surgical environment while circulating, promotes good patient care, and performs other related Cath Lab duties. Receives direction from Cardiologists, Cath Lab Manager, Anesthesia. Flexible hours to cover all shifts and weekends as hospital needs demand, including call.
Education
- Graduate of nursing program, required.
Experience
- 2 years of critical care experience, required.
License / Certifications
- MT RN licensure, required.
- Current BLS and ACLS Certification, required.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- Demonstrates effective communication skills.
- Possess knowledge of the theories, techniques and practices of professional nursing and coronary care nursing.
- Know the definitions of fundamental computer terms related to applications software and desktop PC's.
- Know to open, read, and respond to email.
- Know how to manage electronic files.
- Know how to print electronic documents and reports.
- Work in a temperature-controlled environment.
- Potential for contact with chemicals, blood borne pathogens, and exposure to infectious disease.
- Able to life 50 pounds using proper lifting techniques several times during shift.
- Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position.
