Registered Nurse – Cardiac Cath Lab

Location: Hampton, VA

Shift: First (Days) – Monday to Friday 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, with approximately 15 days of on‑call per month (every 3rd or 4th weekend).

Compensation: $15,000 Sign On Bonus available for qualified candidates.

Overview

Sentara Health is hiring a registered nurse for the Cardiac Cath Lab at Sentara Careplex Hospital.

The RN will provide competent nursing care using the nursing process model and meet practice standards including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, coordination of care, health promotion and evaluation, ethics, cultural competence, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence‑based practice, quality improvement, resource utilization, and environmental health.

Requirements

• Minimum of an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Registered Nurse diploma required; BSN or MSN preferred.
• RN licensure required; BLS certification within 90 days of hire; ACLS within 1 year.
• Strong preference for previous acute care (ICU, ED, etc.) or cath‑lab experience.
• Experience circulating and monitoring invasive cardiac procedures, endovascular procedures, and interventional radiology procedures preferred.
