Bariatric Program CoordinatorScheduled Weekly Hours: 40Work Shift: Days/Afternoons (United States of America)Location: Perrysburg, OHJob Summary: The Bariatric Program Coordinator provides professional leadership in working with the bariatric practice staff, hospital personnel, referring physicians, and patients. Provides specialized care to the Bariatric patient population by effectively coordinating office activities. The goal is to optimize patient outcomes and improve the quality of life to the morbidly obese through efficient practice management and clinical and educational expertise.Essential Functions:25% - Responsible for facility operations including planning, business development, program evaluation, performance improvement and service excellence.25% - Managerial skills to supervise, direct the work of others, establish operational controls and redirect department efforts to meet the organizational goals. Demonstrated project management skills.10% - Interpersonal/organizational skills to effectively coordinate staff and workflow in a busy Bariatric Surgery practice/program.10% - Serves as liaison with physicians to increase satisfaction with system and services. Uses negotiation skills to address physicians/staff concerns and facilitate mutually-satisfactory solutions to problems.10% - Identifies opportunities for promotion of "best practice" and integration of service across system. Involves stakeholders in appropriate projects to increase effectiveness, decrease cost, and enhance patient/physician/staff satisfaction.10% - Communicates strategic vision for the program to all stakeholders. This includes promotion or organizational/service line goals, methods of evaluation, and measures of success.10% - Partners with appropriate referrals to coordinate patient care.Required Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GEDPreferred Education: 2 year/Associates DegreeSpecialty/Major: NursingRequired: Clinical background requiredDemonstrable experience in practice development and expansion.
Experience working in hospitals or ambulatory surgery centers.Minimum Years and Type of Experience: At least 2 years of medical practice experience, preferably within a bariatric surgery practice.Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: General management expertiseOther Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred: Demonstrable experience in practice development and expansion.
